Yard man is a very popular brand of mowers from the MTD group. They make mowers for all types of operators from residential to commercial.

The two most important categories are Yard Man Riding Lawn Mowers and Yard Man Walk Behind Mowers.

Riding Yard Man Lawn Mowers

Riding lawn mowers are comfortable, large mowers ideal for mid sized to large domestic lawns and commercial lawn mowers. Yard man riding mowers are made on the zero turn concepts.

This is very important in larger mowers like riding ones to ensure smoother and quicker mowing. There are two very popular models under the riding mower series from Yard Man.

42" Yard-Man Select Zero-Turn Rider

As the name suggests this unit comes with a 42” cutting deck. The twin blade system makes cutting grass a breeze.

The mower is powered by a 21 HP Briggs and Stratton Intek Engine for just the perfect performance.

3 gallon fuel tank means that you do not have to keep refueling frequently; you can cover larger area in a single run and save a lot of time.

The unit comes with electric PTO which means that you can engage and disengage the blades at will. This means you can save yourself regular engine start ups.

The unit also has high back seat which gives you that extra comfort during long mowing hours. It comes with a pivotal front axle. This allows the mower to follow the contours of the lawn for give you a great looking lawn regardless of the lawn terrain.

50" Yard-Man Zero-Turn Rider

This is a very similar mower from Yard Man as the 42 model. This one has a 50” cutting deck. It is powered by a 22HP Kohler Courage engine with a 3 gallon fuel tank.

The three blade cutting systems gives your lawn smooth and precise cut leave a great looking lawn behind. This unit also has deck wash option to clean the deck easily.

There are other features like Electric PTO, zero turn design, pivotal front axle, and high back seat.

Yard Man Walk Behind Mowers

There are two kinds of yard man lawn mowers under this category: Yard Man push mower and yard man self propelled lawn mowers.

158CC*/ 21" 2-in-1 Push Mower

This unit comes with a symmetrical 21” cutting deck with 550 series Briggs and Stratton engine. It can deliver great cuts for lawns of up to an acre.

The 7” front and 8” rear wheels give the operator good stability while operating the mower. This comes with two in one grass cutting options. The grass clippings can be collected in the rear bag for disposal.

Alternatively if you want to recycle the cut grass as fertilizer, it also comes with mulching option. The cutting deck is designed to deliver both functions satisfactorily.

Other similar models come with 139 CC and 173 CC engines. The engines are of different makes, but the basic build is pretty much the same.

190CC*/ 21" 3-in-1 Push Mower

This is a pretty much similar push mowing unit from Yard man with 21” cutting deck. The main enhancement with this model is the cutting options.

This one comes with three in one option. You can mulch or bag the clippings like the previous model, and you can also use the side discharge feature with this mower.

You can also adjust the cutting heights up to 6 levels with two simple levers. Other models come with varied engine capacity like 173 CC, 139 CC and 160 CC.

173CC*/ 19" RWD Self-Propelled 3-in-1 Mower

This is one of the self propelled models from Yard Man. It comes with a rear wheel drive train that gives you a lot of stability while mowing.

So if you have a simple yard or lawn without a lot of terrain variations and obstacles, you can use this mower for great performance and stability.

The 19” cutting deck is pretty decent for a small lawn. The unit supports three in one grass cutting option: mulching, side discharge and rear bag.

Other variations of this model come with electric start and front wheel drive options. The electric start means that you do not have to bother with priming and pulling the cable, while the front wheel drive gives you lot more maneuverability.
